Sommer is originally from Indiana, and received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Trinity Christian College in Illinois. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Marine Biology from the University of Miami. Sommer is passionate about science and conservation, and in her free time, she enjoys going for runs/hikes and reading.
