Anastasiya Plotnikova, Ph.D.

Academic Tutor

Anastasiya is a recent doctoral graduate from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science on Key Biscayne, where she earned her Doctorate in Marine Biology. She completed her Bachelor’s of Science in 2020, having moved to Miami from Chicago in 2016. Anastasiya has been working as an academic tutor since she was 15 and enjoys teaching and learning. She has given numerous science presentations and demonstrations to students across MDC schools. Her favorite subjects to teach are biology and algebra. In addition to tutoring with JC Academy, Anastasiya is an upper elementary teacher at St. Christopher’s By-the-Sea Montessori School, where she specializes in Math and Science. In her free time, she likes to kayak, salsa dance, and write.
